Lean Cuisine Alfredo Pasta with Chicken & Broccoli
By Shelly | March 30, 2009
So I did the points thing religiously today. Figured out breakfast and lunch and my snacks yesterday before I went to bed. I took to work Lean Cuisine’s Alfredo Pasta with Chicken and Broccoli. It wasn’t as bad as I feared. I’m still struggling with portion size (the darn meal should have been double that size!!) but the taste wasn’t too bad. It’s 5 points on WW. Could stand a dash of pepper if you run out and buy this puppy, but the broccoli actually tasted real and the alfredo sauce didn’t taste like regurgitated waste! It will go on my “eat again” list for the grocery store.

Lean Cuisine has some good meals … I liked the egg roll one but that has maybe 8 points from what I remember. WW makes some good meals too. There are a few with chicken breasts and pasta, as well as the pasta with tomato sauce and cheeses. They’re more filling. But yeah, they need to be like 2x as big!
When I did WW, sometimes for dinner I’d pound out a chicken breast so it was thin, layer in a few pieces of thinly cut ham, stick a piece of reduced fat string cheese in the middle, and roll it up with a toothpick holding it. I think I’d either bake it or just cook it in a pan. It’s delish and pretty low in points.

Mmmmm that chicken idea sounds good! I have to start making more of my own food. This processed frozen stuff is for the birds!
