Humble Pie

I am all about celebrating. As a former athlete I understand the euphoria of a win — especially when you defeat an opponent whom you perceive as a “threat.” But Usain Bolt’s antics completely disgusted me. How about running the race with all you’ve got? How about not mocking the other runners? How about being a little gracious and quit running around like an ejit? I personally think Bolt shouldn’t have gotten the medal because of his unsportsmanlike behavior. I don’t care if he’s “21″ or “51.” Have a little respect for the sport and your opponents, but I’m guessing that someone who has only been in the sport for a year doesn’t understand the heart and soul a lot of people have poured into getting to the Olympics. I sincerely hope someone else wins the 200m.
