illwind.jpgMy 5th day author is Rachel Caine. Have you read her Weather Warden series? If not, you need to go out and get Ill Wind (Weather Warden, Book 1). Again, I’m a sucker for books that have a great storyline, excellent characters and wonderful world building. The heroine, Joanne Baldwin is smart, sassy and loves shoes. She can also control the weather. The world revolves around humans and Djinn and really, where can I sign up for my own Djinn?!?! Right now there are 6 books in the series. Also, RC writes a vampire series you can find in the YA section. I love this series too as the vampire world isn’t typical. The series started with Glass Houses (The Morganville Vampires, Book 1) and it’s up to 3 in the series. Don’t let the YA designation keep you from trying this one out!
